Music critics have described Paul Renz as “a remarkable guitarist and composer,” a creator of jazz that “knocks out listeners with subtle firepower hidden in a splendid vocabulary of feints and finesse.” A graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music and New England Conservatory, himself a student of jazz greats Herb Pomeroy and George Russell, Renz has recorded a half dozen CDs which have received critical acclaim and topped jazz charts. Renz is also a passionate and highly renowned teacher, offering private guitar and bass lessons as well as classes on theory and improvisation. Renz resides in Minneapolis, but offers online guitar lessons to students around the world.

Jazz & Broadway flute player Anders Bostrom, featured on Renz CDs "In My Own Hands" and "ReBop" is coming to Minneapolis for some concerts with the Paul Renz Quartet.
